Week 5

Hello children,

Thank you all for working so hard at home this term. I hope you've had lots of fun learning about minibeasts. I have really enjoyed seeing all your lovely work and it has helped me to find my smile every day. I have made you a little certificate to say well done...

I thought it would be nice to end the term with a little story together, so I made you a little video at school today. I hope you enjoy the story...

MInibeasts

Thank you for you very positive feedback about the home learning. I am delighted that the children have enjoyed learning about Minibeasts, it has been so lovely to see all the wonderful things you have been doing at home.

I have decided to continue with this topic for the final week of the term.  There were a number of suggested activities in weeks 3 and 4, please continue to access these if you haven't completed them all.

I have added some extra activity ideas on the tabs to the right which are based around the book The Bad-Tempered Ladybird. I''ve also included new songs for the children to learn based on Minibeasts and have uploaded week 1 of our new RE  topic - Friends, which links in very well with the story.

As always, please don't feel overwhelmed and feel you have to do everything. Remember, take each day as it comes; a good hour of learning is far better than an unproductive and unhappy six! You can pick an activity daily or just choose a few which are more suitable for your child. I'm always available on email or tapestry if you have any questions or concerns and of course to share all the lovely pictures.

Continue to follow our daily schedule if suitable or work to your own timetable depending on your family dynamics.  Try to complete a Literacy, Maths and Explorer activity as often as possible, as well as phonics and independent reading. RE activities can be completed once a week. Click on the tabs to the right to access all the support you will need. I will keep adding to these pages as we go along
