Tuesday 24th March

Good morning Year 6.

I hope your first day of home learning went well!  Please remember to look at the class blog for more messages and learning challenges if you can. It would be lovely to hear from you! Here are some things to work on today.

Online

I have updated Spelling Shed with all the lists of Year 5 and 6 words for you to practise. I have also included weekly spellings. Please learn the weekly words and get someone to test you on Friday. I have also set some 'To Dos' on Purple Mash, covering creative writing, computing and coding. The site was quite busy yesterday morning but seemed quicker in the afternoon. If you have started any of the geography projects, use the blog to let me know.

From Your Pack

There are lots of tasks in your pack that you can do away from screens and the Internet. Today, try to do ONE text from one of the reading comprehension papers. You DON'T need to do the whole paper at once. Just choose one text and answer the questions carefully. In maths, complete one of the short papers. Later, perhaps you could focus on a writing task. How was your first day of home learning? Can you write a short piece all about it? Remember your reading journal too, record some reading every day!

Challenge

Today's challenge is to practise a skill you would like to improve. It could be skipping, drawing, your 7 times table... the list is endless. Use the blog to tell your friends all about it!

Have a good day!
