Thursday 11th June

Good morning Year 6,

What a change in the weather! It's was a bit cold and wet out there yesterday  and the rain was been pouring down. At least the gardens will like it! We have loads of budding gardeners in Year 6 now, growing all manner of fruit and veg, sowing wild flowers, planting pots and window boxes and really enjoying being outside - it's wonderful! How amazing to be learning such great skills; gardening is something that you will enjoy for the rest of your life.

Here are today's tasks:

Joe Wicks PE click here  Mr Seuke fitness or  a sporting/exercise activity of your choice.

Maths White Rose video at click here  on solving simple one step equations. Remember the supporting sheets I sent you on Monday if you get really stuck. The Alphabet Algebra is also something you can try if you find today's task difficult.  Also finish the Football Shirts mystery from yesterday if you didn't do so.

Special Mission - make sure today that everything is up to date in your book. Your project should really be starting to take shape now, with loads of great work inside. If you haven't done so yet, make sure you work on the canvas for Page 4. Spend some time today working on that self-portrait and make sure to watch the video about getting facial proportions right. I am hoping  to exhibit these at some point in the near future as part of our Year 6 celebrations so try your best!

In the afternoon,  work on some Whole School Learning – Choose one task to complete. If you have not completed any RE yet, you could do this today, doing either this week's or last week's task.

Don't forget you need to send me a picture or a short video showing me your super skills! I've had some great ones so far but still needs lots more.

Have a great day
