Monday 8th June

Good morning Year 6

Welcome to Monday! I hope that you had a good weekend and didn't get caught in the rain! I've been busy getting lots of new resources ready for you this week. Thank you for collecting your project pack from school. This week you will be able to make a start on your self portrait, I can't wait to see them! You also have your notebook and pen, the Special Mission sheet for this week tells you what to do with them.

Here are today's tasks

Joe Wicks  click here , Mr Seuke fitness, or a sporting/exercise activity of your choice.

Maths - White Rose Maths activity on finding a rule,  for video tutorial, click here

The focus for maths this week is algebra. Think carefully before you begin.  A  reminder that a letter is just like a question mark or a symbol,   so    ? + 20 = 25    is just the same as   a + 20 = 25

See  algebra help if you get stuck and for simple algebra activities

Special Mission – Start work on Page 5 – What makes you special?  This week I want you to think about and celebrate your talents.  You can do this work independently or with help from someone else, as a way of celebrating and sharing your many skills and talents. All details on the  new Special Mission Sheet 2.

In the afternoon,  choose an activity from Whole School Learning ;  there are loads of new activities for this week, so there's plenty to choose from. If there is subject you didn't do last week, start with that today so that you are completing a balance of activities over the course of the week.

Finally, I'm looking forward to seeing you and your parents again on the webinar later. See you at 4.00!
