Monday 8th February

Good morning everyone :-)

If you need new reading books for half term, it would be appreciated if your old books can be dropped off today or latest tomorrow morning, so I can get this sorted for you.

Well done to last week's Stars of the Week: Caden, Izzy and Liza. Who will it be this week? Dominik and Freya also received a certificate for being in the top 10 in the school on Spelling Shed. Congratulations to everyone who has been working so hard; even if you weren't lucky enough to get a certificate this time.

Today, we're focusing on money in Maths, spellings, spelling sentences in English, as well as guided reading in groups. In the afternoon, we are developing an understanding of how we are still learning about the Ancient Egyptians today, using an Oak National Academy lesson.

8.45 Teams Check In

9.15 Maths Teams. Revision of Maths - Pence

Please complete the worksheet attachment below. I've also added other resources here to help enrich your studies, as well as lots of additional worksheets (varying in difficulty) attached on the Week of 8th February page. Please dip in to anything that is useful.

Short BBC Bitesize clip - Money - What is Currency

Short BBC Bitesize Clip - Money - What is Financial Decision Making?

11.00 Short Teams Session to introduce spellings through the powerpoint and to discuss writing sentences containing spelling words. This is also a good opportunity to ensure you are using punctuation properly. Another thing you could today is go onto Spelling Shed.

This is followed by a slot for your guided reading session. Please check your email messages for the time given to you. They are in 15 minutes slot. The same Teams log in will be used.

1.30 Teams Check In. As you have a recorded lesson this afternoon, without me teaching it, once you have checked in, you are free to go, but otherwise we can have a more relaxed show and tell and chat session.

History - As you are doing an Oak National Academy History lesson, you can start this whenever you are ready. Show any learning from this in your topic lined book.
