Monday 23rd March

Good morning Year 3, below are your Maths and English tasks for today.

Please complete the tasks on Purplemash or stick in / complete in your Home Learning Project Book. Have a lovely day!

Happy Monday,

Mrs Willgoose

PS Don't forget to check out our blog on Purplemash! If I'm not there when I said I would be today, it's either because I'm receiving a  lesson on how to do blogs on Purplemash from Mrs Ferryman, or we'll be having a staff meeting, with 2 metre sticks between us. I knew the metre sticks would come in handy!

English - Write a postcard from Africa. See the How to Write a Postcard as attached below for tips and success criteria.

Do this either:

  • on Purplemash and type it. Go '2Do' Folder, where I've set you a task. You are on Safari in the Serengeti. Write a postcard about your experiences. Save on Purplemash or print and stick in Home Learning Exercise Book.
  •  or handwritten. This is a postcard of your own choice, but I would like it to be about being on safari and seeing the wild animals. See some instructions and hints below that might help on the attachments. Everyone is allowed to write in pen, whether or not you have been given your pen licence, but keep it neat and in blue ink. Find a handwriting pen that works for you. At school, we use the berol blue handwriting pens.

Maths -  Purplemash '2Do' Folder  I've set you a task - Learn all about fractions by serving pizzas in Fractonio's Pizzeria!

You can also have a go on Times Tables Rockstars and have a go at some Maths in your Home Learning pack. Please trim down and stick any loose sheets into your Home Learning Exercise book. You can ask somebody to mark the arithmetic.
