Monday 1st February

Happy New Week everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend? What did you get up to? We did the RSPB Garden Watch and also went for a long walk.

Spellings - Have a look at the spelling powerpoint and recognise what 'dis' does to the root words. It turns the root words negative. Then have a go at the wordsearch, either on screen or on paper. The spellings, and last weeks, are also on Spelling Shed. Please go on there. Class effort to keep our score up!

Maths

Maths - True or False?

24 ÷ 2 > 12 × 2

Today's lesson is on dividing 2-digits by 1 digit. We will look at the presentation together and then I'd like you to complete the white rose sheet. There is also an extension sheet with the same learning focus.

True or False Answer - False

24 ÷ 2 = 12 and 12 × 2 = 24

History - we're going to do History this week in the middle session, as it introduces the topic for our English this week. We will be learning and the mummification process at the 11am Teams call. Afterwards, please draw / write or cut/stick the mummification process. There's also an activity about canopic jars.

English - pm. We will be comparing instructions for mummifying a human and mummifying a tomato. NOTE: We do not mummify the tomato today.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you!
