Learning Support Assistant
PS3 - £12,331.56 (£23,576 FTE)
Mondays : 7:30am - 3:00pm
Tuesdays : 7:30am - 3:00pm
Fridays : 9:00am - 5:00pm
The Governors of this over-subscribed, high achieving and extremely well supported school are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work 21.5 hours over 3 days.
This will be a fixed term contract for the Spring & Summer Terms ending Friday, 18 July 2025.
The successful candidate will be a dedicated LSA who is passionate about helping to provide a creative learning experience which inspires all children to reach their full potential.
Holy Family is a single form entry Catholic Primary School with 220 students on roll.
The purpose of this LSA role is to provide support for the class teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of children in schools, assist in delivering and evaluating programmes and meeting the pupils’ need for encouragement, reassurance and comfort.
To accept and teach the values and practice of the Catholic Christian faith in ways appropriate to the understandings of the children and in accordance with school policy. The LSA does not have to be a Catholic but empathy with the aims of the school is essential.
Key Accountabilities
- Deliver 1-1 and/or group support/intervention and monitor pupil performance
- Carry out routine tasks to organise and maintain the learning environment
- Ensure the well being, behaviour and personal development of pupils
- Fulfill safeguarding duties in accordance with school policy and current legislation
- Promote the school’s values and striving towards its Mission through compliance with the school’s policies and practices
- May be required to carry out personal care routines as appropriate
- May be required to respond to pupils’ needs in routine, pre-agreed tasks (including routine medical needs)
- 2 x1.5 hours allocated to breakfast wraparound care supporting and supervising pupils before school.

Pay Range : M3 - M6
£22,284.60 - £27,022.20 (£37,141 - £45,037 FTE) + SEN Allowance. Salary pending experience and qualifications.
Part time : 19.5 hours
