Friday 15th January
Friday 15th January
Good morning Year 6!
It’s Friday! Well done for working so hard this week whether at school or at home, attending all those Teams lessons so promptly and making great efforts to complete all your work – I’m really proud of you and you need to give yourselves a great big pat on the back!
Please remember that you have to upload your book report by Monday, so if haven’t finished it, try to do that today.
Here is today’s timetable -
Early Work – complete an arithmetic sheet then mark it. Correct your mistakes and highlight anything you couldn't not do.
Maths – We will end the week with a summary of our maths learning for this week. Please complete the maths sheets. There are two to do so try to complete as much as you can on both sheets. The links are at the bottom of this page. If you finish with some time left, please go back through this week’s work and make sure that everything is finished properly.
Please ask an adult to help you upload today’s maths work, along with some examples of your area work to your folder on the one drive.
English – We will have a Teams spelling test today of both this week's and last week’s words. Then you will need the 2014 reading comprehension booklet from your learning pack. You are not going to do the whole booklet. Please do the first two texts –‘The Humble Potato’ and ‘The Octopus’.
This afternoon, I would like you to choose something different to do. It could be arty, active or creative. You might want to practise a new skill, do something practical or even something musical. The choice is yours! There are some ideas on on the big learning sheet if you need them.
We will end the week with a checklist. How many can you tick?
Once again a big well done for this week! I hope you have a lovely weekend. Don’t forget to share any creative work you are really proud of – our gallery will be fabulous!
