4th May Monday WEEK 3
Good morning Year 3!
First things first, say hello to your friends by watching this link and seeing all the messages from everybody.
Have you checked out the staff lockdown challenge we were set? Click here. It's your turn now! Walk a mile, take a picture, and together we can walk a marathon! Get the pictures to me as soon as possible, so that I can get them put together as soon as possible! I've had one or two in already. Email Year3@holy-family.surrey.sch.uk
So for today's learning:
Weekly Arithmetic sheet as below. You can copy them out into your book.
White Rose Maths - May 4th Video Money Lesson
Watch the video link for the lesson on the linked website, then attempt the questions, as attached below. The answers are also there for your parents.
I believe White Rose have teamed up with BBC Bitesize for the daily Maths lesson, to help in the delivery of Home Learning, as linked below, with even more videos and learning if you're interested.
Monday’s School Reading Book - Oxford Owl online e-books - please log in with the details we sent you, or create your own log in. Try and choose one which matches your book band / or try with one book band higher. You need to be reading about 90% of the text fluently and understand it, as a guide. Can you write it down in your school reading record?
Read Chapter 3 of The Iron Man. If you have not got a copy of the book, a scanned copy is attached below.
Reading Comprehension as attached below. Chapter 3 - Set of questions differentiated around one text. Work for 30-45 minutes.
L.O. I can answer questions about a text
The events in the beginning of chapter 3 are what children will base their newspaper openings on later this week.
You could also do some P.E. (maybe some Joe Wicks) and some music, as it's Monday! Make sure you do some exercise though, as its great for you. What about your walk a mile challenge? Just remember to take a photo and send it to me!
I've attached some ideas from Mrs James below.
Or, If you didn't do it last week, check out BBC Bitesize. The lesson I've linked -Help your child to develop their singing skills. This lesson includes:
a video cartoon that explores melody and pitch with Bob Marley
three practice activities
Have a great day!
