Good Morning, 

Today in mathematics you are going to be drawing the time to the nearest 5 minutes. Please use the slide 'Lesson 4' and complete the worksheets 'Drawing the time to 5 minutes'. Please complete pages 1 and 2. There are challenge questions on page 3. 

In English I would like you to find out about the Island of Struay and write a setting description of it. We will be using all of our work from this week to write a Katie Morag story next week. Use the PowerPoint 'The Isle of Coll' to find out about the fictional island of Struay. I have also attached a map of the fictional island of Struay. Can you write 1/2 or 1 a page of A4 telling someone about the fictional Island of Struay. You can also do your own research of the Island and Watch Katie Morag on iPlayer to help you. 

Things to include in your setting description 

  • Where is it?
  • What does it look like? (use noun phrases)
  • What is there? 
  • What can you do there? 
  • Include a range of punctuation in your writing A.?1,'
  • You could also draw a picture of it as well
