Hump day motivation is:

Don't forget- exercise everyday. If you can try something new then that would be great. Drop me an email and let me know what you have done. I love hearing from you.

Let's start today with some handwriting practice. I have been so impressed with your handwriting Year 5. It's clear that lots of you have really been practising and it shows in the work that you send me. I am super impressed.

This week has all been about instructions- we have looked at the features of instructions and the use of imperative (bossy) verbs. Today I would like you to follow some instructions. Click here for a link to some great recipes that you could try at home. Find something that you and your family would like, download the instructions and follow them. You must check with your mum or dad first. Once you have followed the instructions, I would like you to evaluate them. There is a resource at the bottom of the page. There is also a range of instruction texts that I would like you to look at too. When you evaluate them you are thinking about how clear they are (clarity), their purpose, layout and organisation. Give each instruction a score and decide which instructions were the best.

Let's get going with some Maths. Start with some practice using decimal places. Today our main maths task focuses on adding decimals- click here to watch the video and the resources are  added at the bottom of the page.

Have a wonderful day today- let me know what you choose to do this afternoon from our whole school project.
