2. Tuesday

Good morning,

Please join me on teams at 8:35 to say good morning and explain the first part of the morning.

Phonics today is the 'ir' sound. Please watch the video, bring a whiteboard and a pen. At the end the children can write sentences. Click here to see the video.

Mathematics- Is continuing to add to make 10. There is a game the children can play online (click here) They need to match number bonds to 10 by shooting the ball to the number that would add it to 10. They click on the number spinning around.

I have recorded over a Power Point to explain how to complete today's work.  Click here to see the video of the Power Point.

The children may need 2 tens frame to support them with the sheets today.  Circles and Triangle group have a different sheet to the rest of the class, I have put the calculations on their sheet for them. The rest of the class need to pick a calculation from the 'calculation sheet' below. Then add that to 'Tuesday Mathematics' sheet attached below.

Please join me on teams at 11 to explain the work for English today.

Today we are going to be finding out about planets in the solar system. Please watch the Power Point video from Mrs Hadley click here. The worksheets have group colours on them, please see the slip inside your child's pack to see which colour your child should do. Email me if you are not sure and I can let you know.

Please join me on teams at 12:50 to explain the work this afternoon.

History- Neil Armstrong. Can you write about why Neil Armstrong is significant. See the Power Point video click here (there is no voice recording) and the fill in the significant writing document below. Or you can make a poster about him; draw a picture of him and tell me why he is an important person in History. Can you add any facts about him to your poster? Click here to go to Bitesize BBC website to watch videos about Neil Armstrong.

Computing- Using the Internet safely to find images. Please watch the Power Point video, Click here (there is no voice recording over it). Then use the sheet 'safe searching document'. I recommend using the search engine Kiddle, it is a google for children. https://www.kiddle.co/. The other search engine they suggest to use in the video Power Point is https://www.safesearchkids.com/.
