11 th May Monday WEEK 4
Good morning Year 3!
I hope you've had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, and have taken the opportunity to develop your understanding of VE day and its importance for us historically.
I'm going to be working on compiling your lockdown challenge today! Exciting! Any last minute photos for the marathon challenge, get them in today!
So for today's learning:
Weekly Arithmetic sheet as below. You can copy them out into your book.
White Rose Maths - May 11th Video - 4 and 8 times table
Watch the video link for the lesson on the linked website, then attempt the questions, as attached below. The answers are also there for your parents.
White Rose Maths have teamed up with BBC Bitesize for the daily Maths lesson, to help in the delivery of Home Learning, as linked below, with even more videos and learning if you're interested.
Monday’s School Reading Book - Oxford Owl online e-books - please log in with the details we sent you, or create your own log in. Try and choose one which matches your book band / or try with one book band higher. You need to be reading about 90% of the text fluently and understand it, as a guide. Can you write it down in your school reading record?
Read Chapter 4 of The Iron Man. If you have not got a copy of the book, a scanned copy is attached below.
Reading Comprehension as attached below. Chapter 4 - Set of questions differentiated around one text. Work for 30-45 minutes.
L.O. I can answer questions about a text
The events in the beginning of chapter 4 are what children will base their newspaper on later this week.
As it's Monday:
Please click on the Oak National Academy site, which has been devised during this time of Home Learning. I've linked to the available Year 3 music lessons, and would like you to try Lesson 1 - Pulse.
I've also attached the ideas from Mrs James below. Have you been playing music at all? Have you got anything musical you'd like to share?
P.E. with Joe. You can also access these now through the Oak National Academy site. Please click on the link. Or send me a picture of a physical activity you've been enjoying doing. Please remember, your mental health is the most important thing!
Have a great day!
