1. Monday

Good Morning Year 1,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Please join me on teams at 8:40 to explain this morning's work.

I will be on teams at 9:30 and 9:45 to hear Monday readers

In phonics today we will be learning the 'o-e' sound. Click here to see the video.

Please test your child on the spellings; lie, tie, pie, cried, tried, dried, chief, field, thief and shield. Then move onto punctuation.

Today we will be learning to use capital letters for days of the week. Please see the sheet attached below 'Days of the Week'. Please watch the video about the days of the week Click here, when watching the video look at how the words are spelt. Did you notice the days of the week were spelt with a capital letter? When you are writing them today make sure you use a capital letter too.

Please join me at 11 am on teams to explain the Mathematics today. We are starting a new Mathematics topics called 'place value within 50'. Today we are looking at numbers to 50 and will be writing them on number tracks. Before you start your sheets play the game (click here) 'Paint the Squares'. See if you can work out the missing numbers. You can choose a board 1-20 first then see if you can do a board 1-50.

Then try the number tracks on the sheet attached 'Numbers to 50'. Just print out the worksheets of the group your child is in. Look at the stars on the top of the page.

Please join me at 12:40 on teams to explain this afternoon's work.

RE-In RE today we are recognising that Jesus is the most special person in the parish family. You will be listening to the story from Luke's gospel about 'The Boy Jesus in the Temple' and retelling the story on a story board. See storyboard attachments below. You can choose from 'Storyboard' and 'Storyboard no writing'. Click here to see the PowerPoint video.

Have a lovely day,
