A Welcome from Mrs Spacagna

A very warm welcome to Holy Family Catholic Primary School.

Situated in the heart of Addlestone, Holy Family is a warm, welcoming and nurturing one-form entry school where children aged 4-11 are encouraged to flourish academically, spiritually and personally. As a school with strong roots in the parish of Holy Family, we are proud of our Catholic heritage and the values that continue to guide all that we do.

At the heart of our school is our mission: to learn and grow as one happy, holy family. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, we strive to create a community where every child feels loved, valued and supported to become the person God created them to be.

Guided by the words of St Paul, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord" (Colossians 3:23), we encourage every child to embrace learning, faith and service with enthusiasm and purpose. This simple yet powerful message reminds us that everything we do, whether in the classroom, on the playground, in prayer or in service to others, is an opportunity to give of our best and to glorify God.

As Headteacher, I consider it a profound privilege to work alongside children each day. There are few greater responsibilities, or greater joys, than helping to nurture the next generation as they discover who they are, recognise their God-given gifts and begin to understand their place within God's world.

My vision for Holy Family is that every child leaves us not only with excellent academic foundations, but also with a deep sense of dignity, purpose and vocation. We want our children to know that they are loved by God, called by name and entrusted with the responsibility of using their unique talents in the service of others. As stewards of God's creation, we are called to care for one another and to contribute positively to the world around us. Through faith, learning and service, we seek to prepare our children not only for the next stage of their education, but for their place in society as compassionate, confident and faith-filled young people.

As a Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of all that we do. Through prayer, worship and daily experiences rooted in our faith, we seek to nurture the whole child, helping each one to grow in wisdom, character and love. We encourage our children to develop a living relationship with Christ and to understand that true fulfilment is found in serving God and others.

Guided by the Gospel Values and the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, we help our children become active, thoughtful and eloquent individuals who recognise their ability to make a positive difference. We encourage them to show solidarity with those in need, care for God's creation and work towards the common good. Through this, our children learn that they have both the opportunity and the responsibility to shape a more just, peaceful and compassionate world.

Our children are encouraged to give their very best in all that they do. We celebrate their God-given talents and support them in developing the virtues of kindness, honesty, forgiveness, respect, patience and courage. Through strong relationships and a culture of belonging, we help our children learn, play and grow together in happiness and harmony.

Alongside this strong spiritual foundation, we provide a broad, ambitious and engaging curriculum that inspires curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. We have high aspirations for every child and are committed to helping them achieve academic excellence while developing the confidence, resilience and collaborative skills needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. We nurture learning behaviours such as participation, perseverance, respect and teamwork, ensuring that every child is empowered to succeed and fulfil their potential.

At Holy Family, no child is left behind. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil enjoys a rich variety of memorable experiences and opportunities that broaden horizons, inspire ambition and enrich learning. We believe that education extends far beyond the classroom, and it is through these experiences, alongside our strong academic and spiritual provision, that our children truly flourish.

Holy Family is a place where faith is lived, talents are nurtured, aspirations are encouraged and every member of the community is known and valued. Together with our families, parish and wider community, we work in partnership to ensure that our children grow into confident learners, compassionate citizens and faithful disciples of Christ, ready to take their place in the world and use their gifts in the service of others.

I hope that our website and social media pages give you a glimpse into the vibrant life of our school community. However, the best way to experience Holy Family is to visit us in person. I warmly invite you to come and see our learning, faith and values in action.

Please do not hesitate to contact the school office to arrange a tour.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Holy Family.
